Free Knitting Pattern: Fair Isle 5-Color Beanie Winter Hat

This Fair Isle Beanie chart was written for up to 5 color changes. But as seen in my photos, you can choose fewer if you wish, the color combinations are virtually endless! ** An ad-free printable PDF version of this pattern is available on Ravelry.
In this hat, I repeated my cranberry color to make The Lauren 4-Color Beanie (pattern can be as many colors as you like)! My beanie is Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick
Color 1: Fisherman, Color 2 and 5: Cranberry, Color 3: Butterscotch, Color 4: Navy

This is The Elizabeth 3-color version:
Color 1:Oatmeal, Colors 2 and 5: Fisherman, Colors 3 and 4: Crushed Violets

Needles: 10mm circular

Yarn: Lion Brand Thick and Quick in Fisherman, Cranberry, Butterscotch, & Navy

Cast-on 48 stitches to start – I’ve noticed my Fair Isle hats fit more tightly (probably due to all the “extra” carry-along yarn inside the hat) so I use bigger needles and no less than 48 sts cast on.
