I don’t have the tools I need to do real cable knitting yet so I thought I’d start the new year by creating a “faux cable” look as an entry-level start to 2020. I’ve watched videos explaining a back loop “twist stitch” that creates a “faux knit cable” and I spent New Year’s Day swatching, trying several variations, frogging and re-trying that ended with creation of this faux-cable beanie to share and ring in the new year.
